| by the way, i think he's drawing on salt flats as a type of metaphor, nothing can grow there but he could still stand, or find a home there | |

i'm pretty sure this is right based on live performances and the cd. i've seen BOH a couple times live and they rock. I think the song is about searching for a home, one which can be found even in the most desolate of places. back of the boat was painted wrecking ball there was country music playing but he don't like it at all red fire poppin' on the rained out wood it was whiskey bottles spilling, in a lake thats made of salt and look out michael theres a note on the door saying everybody listen, we'll be the next omaha now if you find yourself falling apart but i'm sure i could stand on the great salt lake falling apart and i'm sure i could stand on the great salt lake your old man was but a wishing machine it's time that you could spare now he's getting old well bill either read or found a watering hole... it's a place to lay sail o'er the heads of coyote now if you find yourself falling apart well i'm sure i could stand on the great salt lake you're following home we want one you're following home we all want one if ever beat down we know who we are but do they know we all want one if ever beat down we know who we are but do they know we all want one |
