Chase and Status – Blind Faith Lyrics 12 years ago
Also, the "blind faith" line could be in reference to a belief or religion. Not exactly sure where he's going with it, but could be him deciding once and for all that music is real and now. And that's more important to him than his "blind faith" that tells him otherwise. That's total speculation though...

I always thought it was "I, keep my SOUL safe..." I think that makes much more sense considering the above lyric especially.

I also agree with the other poster that it's "I am A man with A heavy heart." (Not that that really makes a difference)

Anyways, I see the song as meaning music is healing. But there also seems to be a bit of an "illuminati" reference when he mentions the dance with the devil. Since some people think music has become evil, he's saying it's like dancing with the devil. But that's all he can do to ease his mind.

I don't think it has to do with drugs (not every single song is about drugs lol) but is just simply about music. Music can be a drug of sorts, or an addiction, but I defnintely don't see references to actual substance abuse.

Aqueduct – Hardcore Days & Softcore Nights Lyrics 15 years ago
I definitely agree. I don't think it's literally about being a gangster, but he uses "gangster" terms. I too have moved from a small town in Missouri, and have moved all over since then, so I actually get really hostile when people ask me where I'm from. I've started answering with "good question!" and I leave it at that. I also get even more angry when they ask me what I'm doing or where I'm going. I feel like pulling a gun! (Though of course I never would...) I guess because like the above poster said, everyone makes assumptions about me based on where I'm from or where I'm going.

Love this song! I feel like it was written for me :-)

Peter Bjorn and John – Nothing to Worry About Lyrics 16 years ago
Hmm...i thought it was about a girl too. He fell for her and she made him "feel like a man" at first. But then when he got to know her, he realized how negative she was and she probably blamed everything on her "problems." This left him feeling more confused than ever after he realized she wasn't at all what he originally thought when he first fell in love with her. Thus, "turning him back into a boy again" who knows nothing about love.

And she's obviously done this to other guys before since he mentioned "There must be something in you..." He probably is pissed at himself for getting involved with her even though he should have seen the outcome based on other's experiences with her (hence the angry-ish undertone in the song) And he's probably also angry with her for continuously using guys and then dumping them because of her "problems."

BUT...it's all good cause he's still got "nothing to worry about." He knows it's not him, it's her, and he's finally realized that.

Coldplay – Lost! Lyrics 16 years ago
I thought the beginning lyrics were

"Just because I'm losing, doesn't mean I (I've) lost."

It made more sense to me that way. Now it's confusing if it's really "doesn't mean I'M lost..." It would also fit better then with the next verse that says "doesn't mean you've won."

Is this just a misunderstood lyric? Or is that really how CM wrote it??
