WOW burninator, I logged on here to read over the lyrics again after reading an interesting article about Beck being a Scientologist. I am blown away at your discovery and am shocked they haven't taken your post off by now. ROCK ON! Great interpretation, and I don't know anything about the Scientology thing, BUT! I do know that everyone should watch the videos of EVERY SONG ON THIS ALBUM is redone acoustically. Its on Vimeo. and if you get certain tools to download the video and other tools to extract audio you will know how to listen to Beck acoustically everyday on whatverpod you listen to! |

I think this song is about him realizing that being involved Scientology for so long has done him mental harm. He is dramatically forced to stop interviews due to the questions regarding anything that the Scientologists' "These people talk about impossible things
And I'm falling out of the conversation" I mean come on, I LOVE BECK!! but there is more going on then you think. Beck is actually a scientologist, he is forced not to talk about it, or decides not to on his own account. I am not trying to influence in any way but this is just my opinion. GO BECK! (but not with the crazy alien cult *but i do believe in aliens*) |
