| Ra Ra Riot β Dying Is Fine Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I totally agree with theadrianman. The act of dying is life itself, which, is fine. But death...well, humanity has no choice but to accept that death is final, whereas, dying is a process. | |

In light of the song's chorus I assumed he was talking about an ex or current lover that cut their hair short, which induced "witchy", or bitchy, behavior. But looking further, the song seems to have biblical allegory, like, "And all of Jerusalem is sleeping in our front yard" and "We went through the carpentry." Just a thought. I don't exactly know the meaning of this song, but I think it's catchy. But maybe the title lends to a theme of adolescence and fairy tale. This song sounds like he's talking about a wild imagination and the children that use them. Like, "Are we as bandits with orange peels over our eyes?" Kids are imaginative and come up with all kinds of stories to entertain themselves. "Please be able only to see the legs in front of us," reminds me of those things that only children believe and see yet adults cannot. "The weather would celebrate us both as we ran all the way home; Tumbling down the hill; Our faces dirty with warpaint," these lines brings childhood fun right and center in my mind. Well, this wasn't exactly a song meaning, just the gist I get from the lyrics. I bet it's very esoteric, but as all art is... this, too, is open to interpretation. |

| Chester French β sleep Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I loveee this song, probably because I can relate. Concerta is long lasting Ritalin, although more "college students" use adderall. This song is about the pressures of work and needing a drug to help you out. He would rather sleep, because neuroenhancers usually cause insomnia. I also think he's saying that rather than do the work he'd rather sleep or spend time getting inspired; meds can make you a zombie. I think the song is a progression of taking measures into your own hands: He needs to study and coffee isn't enough, "More coffee down the drain." He has a long night ahead of him and loads to study, "I had to read the facts; Back to back; Book to book; Can't sleep until I'm done." He takes the pill, pills whatever and waits for it to kick in, "But got nothing yet to show." By the end of the song it's kicking in, "Itβs comin around." Atleast, this is what I think they meant. | |
