Thanks for sharing the story. I am a huge Shania fan, Even though I have never met her, I am a Male, and listen to Country music, Shania's songs have helped me get through difficult times. 2 divorces, unemployment, loneliness, Shania has the most positive impact. Now I do like Turner, Strait, Big & Rich, Keith, Jackson, Judds, and all the others, however Shania speaks to my soul. I neve knew who Juanita was until reading your comment. I imagined that Juanita was her inner soul (Shania's) and she spoke to it. Nice to know the correct meaning. Thank You so much, Paul |

Isn't it something about music. It ties generations, it can divide generations. I remember the fist person I slow danced with and it was this song. I've never really totally understood the lyrics, but figured it was about drugs, somehow. The comments others have written, have helped me understand what may have been going on in Jim's mind at the time, but Jim's mind, who could really understand. He was a true artist, he was a drug addict, which was too bad, but from it came some of his creativity. What a marvelous artist he and the rest of the Doors were. Paul |
