I think it's about when she moved away from her boyfriend in NY. The same one as Maps is about. He was in a band, so I think all the travelling references are about literally travelling. "The wings, they crowd your face You're going to end up like one" You're going to end up like one of all the other rock stars. "Now the strangers have caught on And they're riding in the back seat" Is about the fans following the band, but they're stangers and don't mean too much personally. "When it's missing and you want it more It isn't right" Is about missing him. And I suppose the references about her being a warrior is about her trying to get over the relationship. "If I make it at all I'll make you want me" About her ex not paying her attention and giving all his focus to the band. It sounds pretty correct to me. I love this song, so very much. |

| to me this song sounds like its about catching the eye of someone who wasnt looking for like "Summer moon, catch your shut eye" and the relationship deepens fast "in your room, in my room". but the person had a reason to not be looking for love and will soon move on, which the person who caught their attention in the first place realises, "Whats the time, Whats the day, gonna leave me: Whats the time, Whats the place, gonna leave me". the "unknown, talk to unknown" could be about never knowing the person very well, the "ever, lasts forver" meaning their love will always be there, even if they go their own ways. and i think the "leave"s in the end is basically saying to the person who's about to move on to leave now, before anymore damage is done, that it's time to move on. | |

I think it might be about the struggle after a break up. I like the interpretation of it being about whenver the guy want the girl she's with someone else... but i think it might be more that he can't have her at all. She has broken up with him, and he is sturggling to get over it, so he uses the night to try and over come things, "And I stumble when this whole thing runs aground". therefore whenver the sun goes down he's left getting drunk and thinking of this girl, leaving her messages and she never gets back to him. and also "too blind to see tomorrow" i see as a reference to drinking. I love this song, also. :) |

| I do believe that this song is about a relationship not working because one of them is going on tour; it could also be that his band isn't big and he wants to concentrate on the band rather than a relationship. I don't think it's neccessarily the girl making the decision to not have a relationship either, more a mutual agreement which both of them are very confused and upset about. Also the girl's lyrics make it sound like she's not sure if she can wait because she doen't know how long it's going to take him to get every body to be singing 'la la la la la'. Sadly, I can relate to it. | |

| I had a boy use this song to describe how he felt about me. His problem was that he thought I was too young for him, but he tells me he likes me. I suppose the way he hears the song could be pretty right; we dated for a while he could have "jumped the fence", but the whole time he knew the situation was "black and white" to him and he just couldnt get over it, but he's still not "better on his own". I think it all fits well... Just makes me have a slight grudge against the song haha. | |
