It's about someone who can't see the beauty in front of his eyes, and just see the bad side of the things. "Fortune Smiles on you You're not watching Dig that hole deeper" Clear concept in my opinion :) , and great song |

I thought about drugs also, but without the couple fight part. I see a person who is alone "Silence in my living room..." But when he/she takes the drugs, starts to feel good. Maybe an hallucinogenic drug that makes him/her feels better, with a couple or a friend, but he/she know that it will come to an end. On the second verse the drug part takes more intensity, especially with the part of "faces without names", that could be the persons who are with him/her. And finally, he/she is without drugs again, and feels alone. "Flesh and blood have turned to stone" -> the faces without names are gone. "Too late to turn away" -> finally, he/she needs the drugs to be fine. That what I thought about this song... Well, one intesesting thing in Delain are the lyrics. They're not obvious :) and that's great! |

This song is about someone who has to hide a truth, with masks and acting. Everyday is an act for him, and he isn't a real person. Clear concept IMO... and good song and lyrics :) |
