It sounds to me as if he is cheating on his girlfriend with someone else for one night. He is creating his own pain, and that is why the blood is his. "This blood is mine" -He is consciously doing something he shouldn't (cheating?) knowing that it will only cause drama in the end. "This blood is blue Just don't forget it's mine Kiss me now like you wanted We will not die and I'll never ever tell Kiss me now like you wanted" -He is telling the girl to kiss him. He won't tell anybody, and it will be his problem since he is already in a relationship. "We will never tell just what you wanted from "Love"... I can't breathe without you... for today we will -" -He believes the girl's concept of love is sex, and just for one day he will give her that "love" although he knows it's wrong. He is also saying that he needs her just because that is what she wants to hear. "Just like an angel she's just like you the sixth dimension of emotion This is my head for today" -She has the same thoughts as his girlfriend, love = sex. He, however, does not believe this, and it is making his emotions go crazy. But just for today, he decides to think that way. I really don't like this meaning, because it makes the guy sound like a real douche. Be we all have had a time in our life where we acted like real douchebags. Also, I really don't think this song has anything to do with vampires... |

It sounds to me that this song is speaking of a relationship that ended for whatever reason, and now he wants it to be like how it was. He wants it to be forever like they had once said, and he wants the relationship to continue. "Forever... is not long enough...for everything... you have for... me..." -He wants the relationship to last forever, and he could never get enough of her even if they had forever to be with each other. "Now this took me by surprise..." -They broke up and he couldn't believe it. "I can grasp the best part of my life." -He knows that relationship was the best thing that ever happened to him and will happen to him. "So I waited for the right way to state the stated" -He waited awhile after the break up before telling her he still wants to be with her. He could do this for a numbet of reason. One could be that he wanted to verify how true his feelings are for her and if they would stay or did. Or he wanted to tell her when he was calm, rather than right after the break up when he is bound to still be upset. "just the other day... We would say forever." -He does not understand what went wrong in the relationship. One day they were close, and the next they are not. "I lost myself... when i saw you..." -He breaks down when he sees her knowing that they are not together anymore. "I took your hand and placed it in mine..." -Being an emotional wreck, he tries his hardest to get her back. "To be with you... forever... here on after..." -He is doing all of this because he knows this girl is the one. "It wasn't hard for me to figure out...security without any doubts." -She made him feel like he never felt before. She gave him a secure feeling, and he wants that feeling back. (say forever) -He is repeating this because he wants her to say it, but more importantly, he wants to believe it. "I cannot take this in," -He cannot believe that the relationship is over. "I've been dead for far too long as it is," -Without her, he feels dead. He has been without her for too long. "take no regrets, instead embrace this," -He is telling her not to regret leaving the relationship by taking him back. "and we will take our, harmony." -If she takes him back, then everything will be perfect. "I lost myself... when i saw you... I took your hand and placed it in mine... To be with you... forever... here on after..." -I believe the repetition of this whole verse shows that even if they do get back together, then there will be no trust. The trust was already broken through the first break up, but he still loves her. He still wants to be with her even though he breaks down when he sees her. The problem is there is no more "security without doubt." |

I believe the song is about him being in love with his best friend, but they can’t be together for whatever reason. He doesn’t understand why they can’t be, so he does something horrible to her (possibly killed her). Now he regrets it so he cuts himself off from the outside world. “I've been hiding in this bed for weeks from this” -This is his situation after the events of this song. He is depressed and isolating himself from the world. ”Throats raw from screaming and I haven't said a word” -He has told her over and over that he wants to be with her, but she doesn’t understand. Since she doesn’t understand, it’s as if he hasn’t said anything at all. ”The sky is calling, and the stars they point to this” -He truly believes that she and him are meant to be. ”To a chair we see your breath in the air, but only for a little while” -His love isn’t unrequited. It’s just forbidden. They can’t be together for whatever reason, but they have hooked up a couple of times before. ”Your cold pale skin and tainted purple lips“ -The girl he is in love with has been with many guys before. She has been hurt, so now she is afraid. Thus, her skin is cold and pale. Since she has been around with other guys her lips are tainted. But they have also become purple (as in swollen) because these previous guys have really hurt her. ”Let me embrace you with this kiss” -He really wants to be with her no matter what, even if it hurts her. If you kiss someone who has swollen lips, then it’s only going to hurt them. This “kiss” could refer to something he did to her out of anger. He might have killed her because they couldn’t be together in this world. ”And together we'll float like angels. Together ... together we will float, like angels” -He wants to be with her in the afterlife since their love is forbidden in their current life. ”Higher than the heavens the clouds part ways” -He believes that their love could strive if she forgives him for all that he has done to hurt her. ”Promise me to never look down! and we'll stay like this forever” -If she forgets about the past, then he believes that their love will last forever. ”If your stomach feels weak than my work here is done” -He believes that the only way to get her to understand how strongly he feels is by hurting her, just as she has hurt him. ”To hide from our twisted ways, I've been hiding in this bed, been hiding in this bed for weeks” -He now regrets everything he has done. He has lost her forever and any chance of ever being with her. So now he is isolating himself from everything because he no longer knows what to do. This interpretation is almost exactly what I went through with my best friend. But don’t worry, I didn’t kill her. I just hurt her emotionally really bad. She has already been hurt in the past by a previous boyfriend, and I added to that pain. So my interpretation may be a little biased. |
