Well, it isn't really a song. It's Neubautens manifesto. Cryptic, yet definite, they promise never to take part in commercial pop culture or show business. They show they will continue to make noise instead of being played on the radio, enter the charts etc.
Ironically, it was only two albums later that Eintürzende Neubauten really made it into the top 40 and was played on the radio in Germany. |

I love this song, because it's fun! Bauhaus have often been seen as a "dark", "sinister" combo, but this song definitely conveys a good deal of humor in both lyrics and music... |
