This song is indeed about the offensive on the ottoman empire in WWI (who joined forces with germany and austria - hungry) to open up a supply route to russia because they had been cut off, also efforts on the eastern front releived pressure of the western front. This offensive was a failure.
The song focues on the losses we gained, and failed to do anything. |
