i think this is fairly obviously about sex, but the geographic references i'm not sure about, nor the ending 'with you they still do' though it seems to be about sex with someone you don't know, a 'clinical' and sterile approach to sex, without any emotions. so maybe he means he's trying to figure her out and find his way around her but i'm gonna go ahead and be the first to say paul smith can circumnavigate me any day |

i think this song is about the desperation to find someone and the culture of friday night binge clubbing and drinking and one night stand, but for some secretly hoping it will end in something more i also think it's about being disappointed after getting to know someone, and the loss of excitement that you have when you first meet someone new and pin a million ideals onto them that inevitably turn out to be false i just downloaded the new album (i will definitely buy it when it comes out) and it's amazing on first listen, cant wait to see them live in a few weeks. |
