I can so relate to this song. I feel like Im in the only 17 year old in the world who just be's themselve sometimes lol Even the "individual" ones follow their "individual" gangs. I dress however the fuck I want and my music tastes varey from Britney spears to John Frusciante to Stricken to Selecter. In this song he's basically having an angry rant about all of these people that follow and swallow this bullshit to fit in with a crowd, most of them are too worried about how cool they look to have a good time. "I went to a rave and it got real moody, How can a screwface have a good time? Was he deprived of his mothers boobie? I doubt he's lived a life of grime I went to a gig but nobody danced, Everybody was far too cool" He may appear scene but you never really know what a persons like until you meet them so he probably doesnt act like a "scene kidd". I think it's just his own style but it's similar. Anyway, this song is so refreshing to hear someone who gets pissed off at this shit like I do. And plus makes me wana dance. =] Heres my favourite bit: I stay hard like metal, you could never merk me, dirty like skettle, I kill germs like dettol, get mucky, but I will never settle. |

Its my close favourite to Atlantis to Interzone. It sounds a bit different to the other songs, I love it :D I think its about getting damaged in a relationship loads of times. His skin has thickened though and he wont take anymore shit from her.. "I should have seen this years before but now I'm ready for your war" |

I think he really misses what he used to have with his girl looking back on it. But he knows it's time to move on. "But now I walk alone and talk about her when I know hey, aw yeah, how long, I geuss I ought to walk away". I love this song. It's such a jazzy piece, which explains why Flea is in LOVE with it. :P |
