Ok you gatta remember at the time this album was writen they where dropped both from Atlentic records and Tooth and Nail. They purposely wrote Truthless Heroes the way they did cause Atlentic Records asked them not to write an album like that. Songs to Burn Your Bridge By was writen to burn the bridge from the record label. They where making project 86 out to be bad guys and everyone wanted a piece of them for going againts a Contract. If you listen to the Great Golden Gate Disaster on this album you will hear Andrew sing Breaking back so you can sypher my vains... Is this contract worth the paper is it worth the pin..." This album was origenly released on there own label Team Black Records. and they had to change there name to Project Eighty Six cause tooth and nail owned the rights to there name. But I also get a christian meaning behind this such as Jesus Christ being beaten in the streets and being made out to be the bad guy. the Curdle and Sour part is sin |
