The Christ idea works... but I rework there songs sometimes myself as I am not a Christian...
And I think this song still works without it. And to me, it simply means that he's gotten more than he deserves, and we can all strive for better too. And appreciate. |

The band may or may not like Obama.
But it's not relevant. The song obviously isn't about Obama. Obama may be one of the any number of politicians they're vaguely referring to, but it's not about him. |

AdamBurnsRed, this isn't the place for your political views. Nothing about the song can be compared to Obama at all. People gave reason to why it applies to Bush. Maybe people assume negative political songs are about Bush because he was a recent terrible president? Good enough for me.
I don't think it applies to anyone in particular. It's just a vague song about government and people. |
