i think this song is rather self explanatory, all my life ive been waiting for a certain moment of change to arrive and to bring me fortune, luck, self-fulfilness and happiness (And it feels like all you'd have to do is step outside Stop pacing around and waiting for some moment That might never arrive) But this moment might never arrive because life isnt like this and the truth is that this moment is in ourselves and we can determine wether we are at this point and change our life and become happy, or not. (But it's right here in case you need it Like when you were young And everybody used to call you lucky) All our happiness isnt the outer life, its us! We will be able to be happy and to live happily when we want it really from the heart, we just have to change our point of view. Great song, great band, saved my life! |

"Here's Looking At You, Kid" is a film citation by Humphrey Bogart playing Rick Blain in "Casablanca", 1943. Therefore i guess this song is about girls who dumped you or tricked and abused your relationship and you finally caught up with them (i hope you understand what i mean by that - i'm german, sorry) and now are done with them and you dont wanna see em again... In the end you're always smarter than before (german proverb, dunno if the english language has something similar, i hope you'll get this :D) |
