"Lay down right now, let's go around Who claims defeat It's never hard for me You're impossible to beat I must have been so, so, I don't know Confused or scared to share me Surround yourself Surround, surround, surround yourself in me" In arguments/fight/wutever. It is easy for him when it comes to winning/losing... She is impossible to defeat (ie he always gives in) HE must have said something to her making her want to leave... in retrospect he is saying "I must have been so so I don't know. Confused or scared to share me" (to be himself or share of himself) But he takes it back. He wants her to surround herself in him. He is opening himself now. He is willing to share himself. He is no longer confused or scared. |

no he doesn't rape her. In that situation, that is after a girl cheats and he found out, the girl would avoid eye contact. By doing this he forces her to look at him while he verbally rips her apart. |

To me, it's a song similar to "Things that rhyme with orange" It's about "fitting in" and he doesn't care about the norm or what is cool at the time because styles change anyways. "Call me old-fashioned,but I think trains kick ass! I don't need hot wheels to get to class!" "You think you're modern, But that taste won't last (It just won't last) And everything you own, Will be (Will be)... The fucking past. (the fucking past)" |
