I think you guys are putting too much thought into it. The young man singing the song is talking about the death of a love as a spirit. The love died between them, and though they both loved one another they were just so bored and they didn't understand one another anymore like they once did. It happens a lot in our world, and I think it's cool that the blind pilot would point it out for all of us. |

I really agree with GD. I think not only this song is about high school, but also the losing of your virginity and the first love theme is prominent to me as well. I really think he was referring to a single girl here, and she obviously meant so much to him if he wrote this song about her. I have a similar theory that this girl could possibly be a blend of all the females he associated with during that awkward time of loneliness and happyiness.

I never really had much liking for this song, but after seeing it performed live, and seeing the emotion that Maja has in the song, it's become a new favorite. She really seems to be tied to this song, and I think it goes like the others said, and it's about when someone is in a relationship, yet they can't get themselves to move on. |
