| that's a good idea of the song at the beginning, but i disagree with it. he goes out and wants to get laid, by anyone probably. but he sees this one girl and she mentions to her buddy that she's interested. he's trying to play it cool but they keep meeting and he eventually just gives in to his male feelings. and i'm guessing that when they say "tear you apart" they mean sex. just saying. it's probably not as deep as you think. i love this song either way | |

actually, personally i think neither of you are completely correct. sure, there could be many meanings behind this song, take it as you might in your own, but i think this song is about mostly their fame or at least their travels and starting up and everything. | i've read a lot of comments that say something along the line of what i'm about to say, but i think i should reword some things. for one, yes, this is off the twilight soundtrack and it's amazing, but let's look away from the whole twilight/bella/edward story. i think personally this is about a relationship where lets say the boy is having troubles just with his life in general and he's with this girl who wants so badly to help but knows she can't and she's just telling him pretty much "i'm not gonna make things any better, i might make them worse if i let myself. i want to be with you though. i want to help" (One more word and you won't survive And I'm not scared Of your stolen power I see right through you any hour, Felling any foe with my gaze And just in time In the right place Steadily emerging with grace) or something like that. tell me what you think | |
