I also loved playing this song one of my favortes. As for the meaning, i always assumed it was a metaphor for a forbidden love. "Something in the kitchen that shouldn't be brewing" is their feelings "we should save our love for another day" means that they should just wait until there are circumstances that would make the relationship possible or better. "the kitchen's on fire and we're stuck in the oven" means they are in a really bad situation |
