| All Time Low – Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Wow, You people are very into the bands...Rachelrenee, Wow..People don't have to like every single thing about the band in order to be considered fans. I'm a huge fan of the /music/ but it is not like I have posters of the band everywhere, Heck, I'd jump at the chance to see All Time Low in concert, because I adore the music, But You don't have to, quoting 'nightmarryyou' "mindlessly follow and adore every single thing a band puts out" to be considered a fan. I mean, Honestly people, Just put your opinion out there and stop fighting over it. I love the new sound, and the old sound, Even if they are very different! Sure, the 'new' sound is more pop-y, but hey, to each his own, right? I listen mostly to rock, but I liked the new sound before I ever even listened to ATLs old songs, and now I adore the band in whole. I can't stand Therapy, and I'm partial with 'Too Much', But I still consider myself a fan. Anyhow, This song is okay. Not my favorite, But I'm not going to hold out on buying 'Nothing Personal' because I don't like a few songs. | |
| All Time Low – Hello, Brooklyn Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love the chorus of this song just because I love the beat. It's funny, Coz All Time Low is my newfound favorite band (or, one of them, rather) and it totally clasghes with the restof my music, with the Exception of the All-American Rejects and Pink. The rest of the stuff I listen to is either old songs everyone else tired of back in '07, Or 'Devil Music' as my mom calls it. So I'm listening to 'A little piece of Heaven' by Avenged Sevenfold, and then 'Hello, Brooklyn' or 'Break Your Little Heart' comes on. Anyhow, I think the new Album-Nothing Personal-is fantastic, with the exception of 'Therapy' which kind of makes me shudder, and I, too, am partial with 'Too Much'. But the rest of the albumis great, and I can't wait to go buy it. :) And-Yeah, I like the random cities part, I think it helps make the song. It reminds me of a long-lost song that came out hen I was...7. By Hilary Duff, But I can't, for the life of me, remember the title. And I totally agree with 'sighatthererelease', it's a totally shallow song, with no deep meaning, but yeah, It's fun, so who cares? :) ...I didn't know there was an 'old sound' ...Did they have a change in singers? Wow, I feel like a n00b. :) |

| Green Day – Know Your Enemy Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I know alot of people hate this song, But I love it (and Green Day in general, Even though alot of their songs are anti-military...), It's got a nice sound, and I like the lyrics...... I'm too tired to type out the meaning, But I think it's pretty obvious.. |
| Smash Mouth – Walkin' On The Sun Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Yupp...It's about hippies, and drugs, and the unity drugs supposedly used to bring in the 60's-80's, Just as everyone says.. Anyways, I love this song! I'm not sure why exactly...It's just really fun to listen to...And It reminds me of my dad! He's so dorky but so funny! He can sing this song just like the lead singer, and he does...Whenever it's on. Just like he can sing Gwen Steffani's "The Sweet Escape"...It's so funny. Anyways, I've had some great times with this song! :) |
| Green Day – Holiday Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is so un-american, But I can't help but love it. All of Green Day's songs are anti-war, and just shots to the miltary.. But Green Day is still one of my favorite bands, just because they have a great sound... (Believe me, I'm in no way anti-war or anything, My dad's in Iraq right now [One more week and he'll ba back home! :)] I honestly just like the way that the music sounds, and Billie Joe's voice.) |
| Gavin Rossdale – Love Remains the Same Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Well..I suppose it's about a child! :) But anyways, I think it's a lovely song! |
| Gavin DeGraw – I Don't Want To Be Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I believe this song is pretty self-explanitory (Though I've heard several people say that it's about being OCD??), I think it's about being yourself, and not what anyone else is telling you to be, of course! Love this song! :) |
| Foo Fighters – The Pretender Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Wow, I never saw it before, But now that you mention it, This song is totally political. I love the tune of this song, and if it wasn't such a whiney song, I'd love the lyrics too! Of course, I think Nirvana and the Foo Fighters are just very political (liberal) anyways..But they have a great sound regardless... |
| Five for Fighting – Chances Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song could have so many different meanings..Mikerobe's theory about it being about starting a new relationship is definitely insightful. Originally, I thought it's just about life. There are so many things that are left to chance... Big chances like, there's a chance you won't live to be 30; and then the small chances, like, There is a chance I'll, I dunno, suddenly decide to wear blue tomorrow. There's so many chances in life, and so many different choices... But the more I read the lyrics, and listen to the (awesome) song, The more I see the relationship thing... Anyways, Great Song! |
| Five for Fighting – 100 Years Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song! It's all about stopping every once in a while to do the little things you'll regret if you don't do... Like Necronic said, Stopping to smell the roses. Not just 'Go, go,going all the time.' Stop and enjoy life, and appreciate your time on earth while you can, Because time flies, and before you know it "67 is gone". |
| Evanescence – Bring Me To Life Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Yepp, I also believe that it's about the singer holding on to someone she loves, and how she's numb and dead inside without him/her, and only he/her can bring her back to 'life' when she's in that phase. Like (although I hate to use a badly written book as an example) in New Moon, when Bella was all depressed and dead, and lifeless without Edward there..Only he or Jacob could make her vibrant and live again. |
| Eric Hutchinson – Rock & Roll Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I agree with Lilly...And alot of other people here...as far as meanings go. But anyways, I just love this song in general..It's very catchy. And Eric Hutchinson has a great, melodic voice! :) |
| Duran Duran – Hungry Like The Wolf Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Haha, I imagine alot of things would happen if you google 'Do do do do do do do do do do, do do do do do do do do".. ...But that's what I had to do with that one song by Third Eye Blind..:P |
| Duran Duran – Hungry Like The Wolf Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Yeah, Ugh, I think the song is a metaphor (I'm too tired to elaborate, Sorry.) I love this song, (Haha, Though listening to it makes me feel old) It's so catchy and fun! I love the lyrics and the metaphor and everything about it. |
| Counting Crows – Mr. Jones Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Un-uh, It's always been 'Well, Grey is my favorite color' As long as I can remember.. | |
| Counting Crows – Mr. Jones Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| ...I love this song....Even if it is about....Cats? Really? | |
| Counting Crows – Accidentally In Love Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Wow, I absolutely adore this song! It's so uplifting and cheery and lovely! It means exactly what it says! The guy (Or 'Shrek', haha, I believe that's what the song is from, right?), who never thought he'd feel that way about someone, actually fell in love with a girl who basically made him love her... Long story short, I really love this song. :) |
| Cute Is What We Aim For – The Curse of Curves Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Wow...My comments keep dissappearing! I swear I already commented on this! I love this song, and I don't know why. It's very out of the loop of music I generally listen to... I agree that the singer/lyric writer is very witty and charismatic. Perfect words to describe this song! :) But You know what it's all about... Lusting after a girl who just wants you for the boyfriend stuff or whatever, when every other particle of your being is telling you that you want someone who can have an intelligent conversation with you, not just be all over you all the time...Except that little part (Touch her, Touch her) telling you that you really don't give a flying monkey if you can talk to her or not, she's attractive, and she knows it... If this even makes sense..I'm kind of out of it right now..... |
| Boys Like Girls – The Great Escape Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is all about letting go, and having one last night of partying, before becoming an 'adult' or whatever it is for you, that you are dreading, You know, Like not going down without a fight, to an extent.. I think Graduation is a great example of what this song stands for! I, too, agree that It's a little overplayed, But I do love this song, And I have some great memories involving this song...Awesome lyrics, and just a great song overall. |
| Boys Like Girls – Love Drunk Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song! It's basically about a guy getting over a girl, when he never thought he would. I've been through this once or twice...The person is on your mind all the time, You're wondering 'Does he like me, Does he like me?' all the time (Haha, In the song, she does like him, and they actually get together, but same concept..), And after a while of restless dreaming, You realize that it was all just silly, and you get over it. 'Love' (Or, you know, 'summer love' anyway) does make you feel all giddy, and excited and gooey...But after it dies down..It is just like being hungover on love.... |
| Bon Jovi – Who Says You Can't Go Home? Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This awesome song can basically be explained in the saying, "You don't know what you've got till it's gone." It's about wanting more, and more, and then realizing how happy you were when you were home, with the friends and family and familiarity you love, and finding out that you can always go home to that. That, wherever the people who truly love and care about you are, you can always go home to them, and they will welcome you with open arms.... | |
| Bon Jovi – We Weren't Born To Follow Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song. I agree with all the other comments, And the meaning interpretation is perfectly true! It's about all the people who went against the crowd, and acted and spoke, and believed differently. That we have to stand up for what we believe in, regardless of what's considered 'Cool' or 'proper' because it'll all end well in the end! Look at some of the great and amazing people we have in our history who went against everyone else's advice and did wild things that formed our nation the way it is today! Women who behave rarely make history. Same goes for everyone else! |
| Blue October – Into the Ocean Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Hmm...I could swear I posted a comment on this song several months ago, But Apparently not.. The lyrics and the vocals in this song are so beautiful! I love how there's the deep meaning, and also an awesome tune! One of my favorite songs of all time! In the simplest way: This song is about wondering what your life really is (or has been)worth. |
| Barenaked Ladies – One Week Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think this song is so fun (and funny)! Haha..It makes almost no sense... It's just about his relationship with his girlfriend: They fight all the time, and there's a schedule followed with the breaking up, making up, and everything in between! :) |
| All Time Low – Weightless Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Woww...I just finished writing a nice, long comment, and then my internet screwed up..>_< Basically, It was that this song is great, and a great song to live by. It's about the guy deciding to break all the rules, and basically, it's a big 'Screw You' to what everyone else wants. He's going to do what he wants, when he wants, and live life to the fullest, and break out of his cell.... |
| All Time Low – Break Your Little Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| And I love the lyric "But the chase ain't worth the prize" and "Don't be so sentimental, No, This love was accidental, So, give it up, this was never meant to be more than a memory for you." | |
| All Time Low – Break Your Little Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Yupp, I agree with Icarus13! It's about a guy who's been used in a one-night stand, perhaps, and now he's getting back at her by breaking her heart once she realizes she really loves him... |
| The All-American Rejects – Move Along Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is about moving on. That no matter what happens, Life goes on. That you're going to have some rough times, That's life, you just have to deal, and keep your head held up, and keep on plowing through. And that if you have friends to help you through, You can make it past anything and everything life throws at you. When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade. |
| The All-American Rejects – Gives You Hell Lyrics | 16 years ago |
/or/ maybe the girl's at fault. Maybe she cheated on him, or something, then turned the dillemma, making it seem like it was somehow the guy's fault, and then after she had used him all up, she dumped him. This could be the guy singing about 'Sucks for you, You talked all big about how you were so much better than me, can't talk down to me now, can you?' because now he's a rockstar...Kind of like that song by Avril Lavigne-Sk8er Boi |
| The All-American Rejects – Gives You Hell Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It's a whiney song, I admit, But you kind of can't help but like it. Obviously, it's about a guy who is tormenting the girl who broke up with him, for not becoming famous, or whatever it was she thought she was going to be...She's just a normal girl. He's making her feel bad for dumping him, and not becoming anyone of significance...When he's a rockstar singing songs about her being a failure... |
| The All-American Rejects – Dirty Little Secret Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is not one of those songs that have a deep, Hidden meaning, I think.. Obviously he's just singing about happily engaged (I don't mean 'Engaged' as in set to be married, I mean it as in the sense of being engaged in a conversation, or a relationship, in this case.) people who have flings with other men/women, or have secret lovers. It's about the thrill of the secret..And their significant other not knowing about the lover and their person.... |
| 3 Doors Down – Let Me Go Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I believe this is song is about a guy who loves a girl so much, he thinks that she needs to find someone who better deserves her, and that the guy is hiding parts of his life from the girl, because he thinks they make him further unworthy of her love. She loves him, and wants him to open up, and know that she's fine with whatever it is he's so scared of her knowing. He wants her to just let him go, and find someone else, even though he loves her and wants to be with her. I love 3 Doors down. I Love that their songs have meaning, and that the lead singer,Brad, has such a powerful voice. They are one of my top bands, and I've listened to them for longer than any other band I listen to today. (You may have noticed that I've posted on like, 7 other songs by them...) |
| 3 Doors Down – Let Me Be Myself Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Okay, First off, The Geico Commercial=Amazing. Haha, I've relived that on youtube over, and over, and over again and even reenacted it several times myself as well. I listened to this song long before they started coming on the radio, and it became so popular... And I think the lyrics basically speak for themselves. It's about a guy discovering himself, and realizing that he'd lost himself, and maybe hurt someone, in trying to fit in with the crowd, and becoming what everyone else wanted him to be. This is my 'Stay strong' song. It reminds me not to get caught up trying to be popular and to make friends with people who are like me, Not who want me to be like them. (3 doors down is one of the best bands I know.) |
| 3 Doors Down – Kryptonite Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song...could have so many different meanings, really..I dunno. It could be about drugs, or love, or anything! Personally, I think it's about a girl who maybe doesn't appreciate everything the guys does to try to keep her attention, and to keep her close...That she doesn't realize his love for her and that he'd go through anything and everything for her. (She's his kryptonite! I think that's the best metaphore ever...) And through everything, he'll never reveal her secrets, or try to put her down. |
| 3 Doors Down – It's Not My Time Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Wow...I can't put my thoughts into words, except that this song basically says "I'm not going down without a fight." Whatever the singer may be talking about, Drugs, peer pressure, death, Because I honestly have no clue which it might be...But these are some great (insightful) theories, guys! :) | |
| 3 Doors Down – Citizen Soldier Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| --I think i posted that in the wrong section O_o, Sorry...I meant to reply to Omally's post....-- | |
| 3 Doors Down – Citizen Soldier Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Wow...Well said! I agree with this 100%. My dad is in Iraq right now, he's been there for a 365, (Just one more week and he'll be back home!), and it just really miffs me off when all of these people are out there, complaining all the time about how the war is stupid, and we should just give up and get it over with, when the troops overseas, away from their families and safe beds and homes are dying every day, Fighting so that these people can have the /right/ to go to the White House lawn and tie themselves to the gates, holding signs, and then going home to a hot shower and laying down in their warm beds and sleeping for a full 12 hours because they /can/ thanks to our Military. My dad's just a com-guy, not on the front lines or anything, but we're all proud of him, and know that every part played overseas is important if we're going to win this thing, and keep all of us safe at home! |
| 3 Doors Down – Be Like That Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think this (amazing) song is all about wishful thinking. The contrast between what people want. The boy who wants to be famous, and for everyone to know his name, versus the girl who just wants what everyone else seems to have: A home, a family, someone to care. I think it stresses the fact that you always want more, no matter what you have. You have a home, and all kinds of blessings, like an education, and you want to be famous. You're famous, and you want to be great, and better, and you want everyone to be talking at you and looking in your direction all the time. You get that and you just keep wanting more and more. And you never really appreciate what you have, unless you have been homeless, or you know... like if you've been living in someplace like Africa your whole life, and then you move to America, You really appreciate everything you have here that everyone else takes as a given, for granted. | |
| Blue October – Say It Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is amazing! :D I can't get the lyrics "Coz you'll talk like a mime" And "A considerate clown, a preachy preaching machine" out of my head! I've had plenty friends like this, who'd treat me like garbage or whatever, and tell me all their problems, and never listen to me. They ended up pretty suckishly..Anyways...Yeah..... |
