The biggest downfall of my life is my lack of confidence. I have a terrible habit of doubting myself. When I am succeeding, I accept and acknowledge it, but while on top of this mountain of happiness, one little breeze of trouble will knock me down completely, and it takes a lot for me to get back up. It's been something I have tried to address for a while now. My friends and peers all look up to me, and in fact I have a LOT to be grateful and happy for, but I STILL look down upon myself constantly because I have a lot of insecurities. I envy others' ease of mind. This song to me, is about letting go. I am in high school, and "[my] time is NOW." I don't want to look back into the past, just forget about it, "stop wasting time on these insecurities," and "keep pushing forward." This is how I am going to "take control" of my life. "From this moment on, we will live our lives with open hearts and open eyes..." |
