I believe the sentence from the first verse; "Oh won't you tell us 'bout those rabbits, George" is a reference to John Steinbecks- Of Mice and Men. Lennie is a mentally challenged man (who loves to rub and touch soft things) he never tires of hearing his best friend George tell of the rabbits that they will have when they save enough money to buy their dream farm. |
