| I am going way out on a limb. I think the song is about drug addiction. The key is the reference to "raw sugar" as a crystal-like drug. The image of a "high rise grave" fits with an inner city "project" where hopelessness can lead to drug addiction as an escape. The references to liking it on the sly or until it hurts, being a baboon, disconnection from womanhood, calling home could easily refer to having to sell oneself to get the drugs. Maybe I am too bleak in my outlook but I am thinking more is said here than just living a mundane life. | |
