| I always assumed it was specifically about smoking pot at night. I interpret the line "howling at the moon" as referring to how it might look/feel when you're looking up towards the night sky and exhaling smoke. I remember being super excited and having my mind blown when I figured that out one night hanging out and smoking with my friends under the bridge. | |

I think that the "Above The Clouds" line is a reference to Charlotta being in heaven. I definitely got a sense of this song being about someone who had passed away. I think this song is beautiful and enigmatic and it deals with death in a sorrowful and very real way. |
