| You know I think that this song like all others is going to mean different things to different people. If you are a tranny, then I guess the woman might be your inner woman. If your Mom is always saving your butt, I guess that would work too. For me, it is what it is. My wife came into my life as a sudden friend when things were at their worst. My Dad had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer, I had dropped out of college to run the family business, my world was crashing down around me and there she came just as I thought I would drown in my trouble and worry. She stood with me, supported me, held me as I raged and laughed with me when I could. She saved me. The good in me that survived those 3 years of hell came through because she kept it alive. I am not a crying man, but if I were this song would bring me to tears each time I heard it. It terrifies me to think of where my life would be if were it not for her love and the grace of God that brought her to me. | |
