i dont think that the girl that stephan jenkins is singing about in this song got hurt and went to the hospita, i think that there is something more meaningful, like a struggle in the relationship which the hospital represents and they had to end their relationship and it is basically like she has passed on becasue he cant live without her. |

i am a hugeeee third eye blind fan, i grew up on them and have been listening to them my whole life. ive been reading what people think that songs are about and for this song everyone thinks that there was literally someone in the hospital that has passed on, but i think that the hospital represents a problem that he was having in a relationship and him and the girl (him being Stephan Jenkins) had to break up and go seperate ways, but she means a lot to him so he still puts her in his plans even though she isnt there, i dont think that she actually died, i think its a girl that he really loved and hes using the hospital just as a representation. it says "i felt long after we were through" which makes me think of a relationship that had to end, not the death of someone. |
