Blue October – Hate Me Lyrics 15 years ago
Right at the beginning of the song [my version, anyway] it has this sort of creepy echoing voice saying.

"If you're sleeping, are you dreaming?
If you're dreaming, are you dreaming of me?
I can't believe you actually picked me"

At first I couldn't really make out what it was saying. But then I listened to the song "Calling You" by Blue October, and realised it was these lyrics from that song being said at the beginning. Which leads me to believe it was about losing whoever 'Calling You' was written about, and, considering it's a love song of sorts, then this song was more than likely written about an ex.

However, I do believe that you can take this song however you wish. It could be about a family member, a friend or an ex partner.
For me, I can relate it a lot to my ex best friend. And the chorus is sort of a message for everyone who cares about me...

British Sea Power – No Lucifer Lyrics 15 years ago
I'm gonna have a geek moment and say this song always makes me think of Doctor Who XD

"Give me the dummy tit" just reminds me of the 9th Doctor with Rose and the Autons.
"Forget the rest of this shit" leave it all behind and come with me.
Then it's about journey
"Several Lucifers will come/ And we will beat them all" Well, the Doctor does face a fair few versions of the Devil and Evil and such.
"Come on, Alons y let's go" well.. The 10th Doctor always says Alons-y :)
Then "Is that what the future holds?" Questioning the future.
-Shrug-

I know that is really not it at all, but I am a geeky obsessor :)

Lamb – Gorecki Lyrics 16 years ago
I first heard this on Torchwood S01E08..
It's such a beautiful song, it compelled me to find the whole thing, because the song fit the situation... Now knowing the whole song, I really don't think it did.. But that first bit definately did, and it's an amazing song..

Death Cab for Cutie – I Will Follow You Into the Dark Lyrics 16 years ago
I don't know too much about Catholics.. My Dad was raised Catholic, and went to all the really strict schools and stuff... And they were taught to fear God. Not in a bad way. But in the sense that, yes, fear is the heart of love. You're not taught to be SCARED of God, but to fear hi. And there is a difference..
(And nun's run a catholic school righ here in my town at the moment. They have teachers and nuns. And there is also another school which are run by something similar to nun's.. So they still do it, just not to the extent they used to.)
I think most bands of Christianity are taught to fear God. I went to a Lutheran Primary School, and I was taught to fear God because he is almighty and he is powerful and he is strong and he is loving and he has control. That's not something to be afraid of, but to fear in a sense of respect. To fear him is to respect and love him.
"Fear is the heart of love"

Florence + the Machine – Dog Days Are Over Lyrics 16 years ago
I see it as.... Hapiness was love, and she tried to hide from it, because she didn't want to be in love.. But she couldn't stop it from happening.. And it made her happy, but at the same time, something wasn't working... And the happiness faded... And from that, she ran... She ran to find happiness and protection elsewhere...
In the end, I think she's saying she thought she was happy with him, but she wasn't... The dog days were really with him, and now they're over...

I also think she uses similie's such as "train on a track" and "Bullet in the head" to say that it hit her fast and hard, and, in the end, brought her down... It wasn't a good thing.. It could have almost killed her..

But hey, tht's just my interpretation {:
Cheers x

McFly – She Falls Asleep, Pt. 2 Lyrics 16 years ago
O.o
Dude..... Music isn't about how complex/dificult it is.. It's about how beautiful the piece is... The sound.... The way it enthralls the audience.. The way it holds emotion and keeps people wanting to listen...
This piece has build ups that keep you wanting to listen... It's dramatic, it's sweet, and most of all, it's heart felt.
Anyone can sit down and learn to play an instrument.... But it takes a true musician to put feeling and emotion into a piece.

Of course, if you don't like it, that's your oppinion.. But some of the simplest to play are often the best sounding.

Silverchair – Suicidal Dream Lyrics 16 years ago
Understand this...... Alot of people who want to kill themselves, also want help.. Some talk about things anonymously, like on here... Others talk to people they vaguely know... Majority of peoplke who talk about how they feelare crying out for help... Not wanting pity, or trying to get attention, or trying to compete...
It's the people who don't say anything that you should worry about the most... But how can you really tell...?
I know I hid it well for years before I broke down..

So anyone who says songs like this are wrong need to look at the bigger picture...

This song is good, and straight to the point.. I can relate.
