| Thrice loves using Christian symbolism in their songs and to me this is another example. In the bible, it calls Satan a lion, prowling looking for people to devour. So obviously, this is what the lion in the song symbolizes, but what about the wolf? The answer is: other Christians. Look at where the song states each creature is, the lion is outside the dor, but the wolf is in your bed. This symbolizes how we make our own bed and can surround ourselves with the corrupt, in this cause corrupt Christians. And how, because of that, the Lion (satan) and the Wolf (corrupt Christians) can work together to devour you. | |
