| Bride – Head Looking for a Bullet Lyrics | 16 years ago |

At first, I couldn't find anything to do with Christ in this, even though Bride is a christian band. I hope this helps: The first verse explains his childhood, growing up in an un-Christlike environment. The thing hidden away from him was Jesus. Since he was without Christ, he was essentially a "head looking for a bullet". The second verse explains the sinful world he grew up in, and how it agitated him. "The things that are seen were not made of things which do appear" This phrase tells how he realizes that God created this world. "In the desert of my mind in the in-part realm of time At the Place of the Skull count all my bones" He lays his sinful body at the cross on Golgotha, the "Place of the Skull". "In the valley of decision on the island of despair Cut off my way of thinking I will see you there" He had reached a place of despair, and hence reached a "valley of decision" (did he want to be content with the way he's living?). He chose not to be content and turned to Christ. This is when he laid his sins at the Place of the Skull. His sinful way of thinking was cut off, and the last line states how he will help you get where he got, which is with Christ. |
