It is, in fact... "Somehow you blood made you blind... to our DIVIDE... I am all yours." And to be honest, this is one of the most beautiful and moving words/lyrics I've ever encountered. What divides us from God is sin. And if it weren't for grace, we would never breach that void between us and God. But the fact of these lyrics is that Jesus' blood makes us clean, beautiful, loved and perfect as we are. That God has turned a blind eye to our sin; Our brokenness, mistakes and flaws. It's as if he went out of his way to break his own rules so that he could be near us. That God is making a choice to be unfair, but in our favor... Amazing. |

@ Sirens... That's awesome that you can appreciate their message despite differences in faith or spirituality. But I just wanted to say that I can guarantee that TDWP are not religious either. In fact, if you're familiar with their previous albums, you would discover they are anti-religion. As I am. I think I can speak for them as we both believe that being religious is not the point of putting all our faith, hope and love in the only consistent thing in existence... God. It sucks, but a lot of us who really pursue to love God in a real way, have to segregate ourselves from what you might know as a 'christian.' Especially the 'christians' you see on TV who offer miracles for money... Don't forget about the very name of this band... The Devil Wears Prada. Who do you think they are talking about... Satan himself? Or perhaps the liars and thieves dressed in Armani and Prada we see on TV proclaiming God's blessings in return for our money? A lot of us describe true christianity as not a religion, but a true, real and loving relationship with God. Anyways... I hope you find what you're looking for. With love. |
