I think that the meaning of this song is pretty straight forward, in my opinion is about life, how you mold it the way you want and how you continue to live in this world despite the good things and bad things that happen. Neil had passed terrible things in his life, and he had surpassed all that by living in a different way, its like: Not matter what happens, life will goes on and you will have to learn how to deal with those things. |

In my personal view, it's talking about personality, maybe Aviv or Him/her it could be both not sure, it's describing that "the person" have a uneasy going, ogre-esque, different and complicated personality that could not be changed so easily b/c it's on "the person's genes"...something like that...It's happening to me now, I'd met a girl recently and we're involve in some kind of romance, but the girl it's so complicated, have a strong and demanding personality, get offended about everything and could not have a conversation about 15 mins without wanting to discuss and fight, for me, I've been passive and comprehensive but, she once told me: "I'm daughter of [insert name here] I'm NOT AN EASY GOING PERSON!" it reminds me that, it's like she's telling me what this song describe "Welcome to my DNA" "I'm like this way, accept me, or leave"... |

In my personal point of view, is about "him" that is falling in love with a girl that lives somewhat far away from "him", they have sort of like a "romance" and "they" can only take the summer as time of the year to spent time together, "Always the summers are slipping away Find me a way for making it stay" right here, it points the fact the he dont what that time to end, and when everythings gone, "he" gotta go back in the train again, "When the evening reaches here You're tying me up I'm dying of love It's OK" is like the farewell line, where "they" have to say goodbye.
Obviously it can have various types of interpretation, and thats the greatness of songs and music, but to me is appealing this way, bc it has happened to me. |

What makes special this song is the melody, particularly in this song I dont really care to much about the lyrics and the meaning, the melody stays on your head for a long long time, in fact the verse melody is the one that is the more ambiguous, is b/c this vocal melody was written based on quartal harmony, (in 4ths), Zappa used this concept a lot! |

In my personal opinion and take for this song is, that the character (or him), is talking to GOD, about what he says if you follow him, your soul will be "saved" and go with him into the heavens, so the title represent that, until that time comes, what will happen now?? with this world rippin out in little pieces, wars, etc!?. The second verse takes a more metaphorical approach to me... |

It is clearly talking about the "men behind of the curtain" "the Illuminati" (beneath the ever watching eye) that eye in the triangle simbol of the illumati (you can see it in the dollars bills) this worries me b/c I don't know if the lyrics critic this new world order fact or suport it, it appears that dont support it until the last verse
"The seven stars, the rising sun
A perfect world, a new life has begun"
that appears that John is supporting this fact...and a rite of passage is a ceremony of conversion which worries me, the new world order thing is obviously a bad bad thing including world domination and total control of the ppl if you aren't aware of all this please check out the documentary called "Zeitgeist" and "Zeitgeist Addendum" maybe it will clear out things...so the ppl who thinks that the song "Sacrifice Sons" is about "TERRORIST" attack of the 9/11 when the 9/11 was a act covered by this "men behind the curtain" as an excuse of going into war.
