| A Fine Frenzy – Almost Lover Lyrics | 15 years ago |

The way I interpret this song is just a girl, who was never able to fully enter a relationship with someone, and now she sees no more hope in the situation. The guy still wants to stay in touch, or be friends, but the memories are just to painful for her so she tries to forget, but can't, even though she has given up on their ever being together. So I always loved this song, and today it came up on my itunes, and as I was absentmindedly singing along, I realized how it completely fits my current situation. I have had feelings for my good guy friend for almost 5 years now, and when I moved away our friendship only grew stronger. I recently went to visit and we confessed our feelings for each other. But when I left he acted as though nothing happened and talked to me as though I was only his friend, telling me about the other girls in his life and basically pretending that what had happened between us was completely forgotten. I keep trying to forget him and get over him, it's just so difficult though because I value his friendship more than what we had as more than friends. It just hurts though. |

| It's about one of those huge arguments between two people that seem almost impossible to overcome. | |

| most adorable song ever! she's excited about a blind date and doesn't want anything to go wrong so she makes sure everything is perfect before he gets there. lyrics are pretty self-explanatory but still verrrry cute (: | |

really great song. sad, but beautiful. The men in the black ties arrive at the house in surprise, to find a little girl by your side, the wood box where you're sleeping. this is the only stanza that confuses me, anyone know what they're trying to say? |

| i absolutely love this song. it's my favorite by manchester orchestra. i never really thought that it was about anything to do with being gay, mainly because of the band being a christian band. it just didn't really make much sense to me. thank you caffinesamurai for clearing that up (: | |
