a guy burned me a cd for no reason and this song was on it. so i'm not sure about what this song exactly means. because part of me wants it to mean something, and the other half of me has no idea what it does mean. but i think it is about a guy who feel in love with a girl. and its about thier relationship. things have changed and they can't be together anymore. he is remembering things about thier relationship. so basically the song is a list of memories: suprises, when he first fell in love with her, the middle of the night phone calls. and now he is going or she is going, and i think he is saying don't let me go, don't stop loving me until its really goodbye, don't leave me yet."Besides, don't release me until it's over" or maybe he thinks she is cheating on him and he doesn't want her to let him go until they break up. but i'm not exactly sure. and i always thought the last line was "And besides, you can't believe without fear" too. i kinda like that better for some reason. anyways i am totally rambling. all i know is this song is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard, but i just wish i knew what it ment. my favorite line is "Confessingly, this is the first time I've loved you, And God I mean, God I mean it, I hope that I mean it" but i guess its just cause thats what i want it to mean |
