Bright Eyes – The Center of the World Lyrics 14 years ago
I think of the statue of the girl as being God, or something like it. The narrator tries to look into her eyes, looking for some kind of meaning of life when he's "at the center of the world", which I see as being a state between existences, but her bucket is empty- she has nothing to offer. Instead she turns him into sand ("clumsy form" aka a human body) and scatters him among all the other grains of sand (aka human-kind) where they simply wait for the oblivion of the sea (aka death). The last half of the song is simply a less metaphorical representation of the same theme- that there is a futility and dullness to life that can't be cured. The line "we are far less than we knew" stands out to me as being the most important of the song. It means to me that we might think we are interesting creatures but in the end we are all just grains of sand.

The Decemberists – I Don't Mind Lyrics 16 years ago
It may just be because I'm heading into this situation this year myself, but the last section reminds me of a son going off to college or simply moving out, into an unsure situation (aka the woods). His mother is constantly nagging him to be responsible (on his back), and while that annoys him, he inexplicably misses her once he's gone (but you don't know why you got / all choked up when you said goodbye). It isn't until later that he realizes the nagging meant she cared: "is it too late to tell you that I don't mind."

The Decemberists – Of Angels and Angles Lyrics 16 years ago
I'd have to agree with the second comment posted by trisweb. I strikes me as a series of quiet moment shared between two people who live an ordinary but happy life together.

As for the lines: "There are angels in your angles / There's a low moon caught in your tangles", the image reminds me of the appearance of a person who is back lit, in this case by moon light. The 'angles' of the person seem to glow ethereally (like angels) and the moon shines most through their hair, especially if they've been sleeping and it's a mess. I can see that being described as the moon being "caught in [their] tangles."

Just my interpretation.
