AMAZING song. kevin drew is a god. the song is basically summed up in the title, Love vs. Porn. its about how the masses have been desensitized by mass media (in this case, pornography) and because of this, sex is no longer a beautiful act. |

i agree with you, underthestars32, about alcohol and sex, but id say its trying to compensate for lost love. especially the last 2 verses: Who needs thinking When the drinks are on the house Evaporating All the time I was in doubt I've been sleeping With a better girl than you Loved her stories All the photographs Its true Goodnight Palace of pleasure Good morning blues I guess we'll never know What could've been The dream is over Go back to sleep again the 2nd last verse alludes to the lost love, saying that he had been sleeping with a better girl than he is now, and the last verse is saying goodbye to the old, seemingly euphoric ways of love. the dream is over (love), and he is trying to go back to sleep (re-find it in all the old places) idk this is just my interpretation, probably just because i can relate to this view. |

my interpretation of the lyrics is that, like everyone else was saying, its about a forbidden relationship, and they only really have one night together to share...either that or id say its summer love coming to an end. so the tiger lilly part, the tiger is a dangerous animal, and the lilly is a beautiful flower, so id say that the title says that the relationship is beautiful, but dangerous. adding onto that, the tiger lilly is a flower that only blooms during the summer, which goes along with my summer comment. but idk thats my interpretation lol. |
