personally i don't know what is wrong with you people. i love this song! maybe its just cause i can relate to it and when i listen to it the lyrics really hit me. i think the chorse is great especially when it says "we had too much time, too much us. so we fought like tomorrow was promised" it talks about taking advantage of relationships and leaning on them to the point that they break. i do think that some of the parts are a bit over the top but over all i love this song and if you don't like it why bother commenting and wasting your time. |

ok so i am going to try to break this complicated song down a bit so here goes: "I settle down A twisted-up frown Disguised as a smile Well, you would have never known" its like she has setteled into something where she feels she has to always disguise how she feels and no one would ever guess that she was hiding what she felt or the fact that she might not be really happy. "I had it all, but not what I wanted 'Cause hope for me was a place uncharted And overgrown" she has everything she has ever wanted but she feels like its not enough any more, she wants to find hope but with all the difficultys she is going through she finds it impossible so hope. "You make your way in I resist you just like this You can't tell me to feel The truth never set me free So I did it myself" Ok so this took me a while but i think i got it. someone is forcing there way into her heart and they want her to feel something that she can't, and when the truth came out it did not free her form all her troubles so she had to take the actions to free herself. "You can't be too careful anymore When all that is waiting for you Won't come any closer You've got to reach a little more More, more, more, more" you can never be to careful in the world, cause when you won't something you have to reach for it but it might mean getting hurt. "Open your eyes Like I open mine It's only the real world Life you will never know" she is saying that you need to look around, this is reality and with reality you can never know what is going to happen. "Shifting your weight to throw off the pain Well, you can ignore it But only for so long" you can only push away pain for so long, but the fact is that sooner or latter you will have to deal with it. "You look like I did You resist me just like this You can't tell me to heal And it hurts remembering How it felt to shut down" she is saying to maybe even the same person as before that they are doing what she had done, she had resisted a relationship. that person is saying that she needs to get over all this and move on but she can't just for get everything it hurts so much because she is constantly reminded of when she crashed and burned and then had to close her self out to everyone. the rest of the song is just repeats but i covered the most important parts. i think this song was meant for one or maybe a group of people. i think it could be aimed at the troubles of the band but i really don't know. i think the best thing about this song is that it is so mystical as in it has so many meanings and we will never know every aspect of the song be cause it is written paramore style, with lots of symbolism. i think it is just an all around amazing song and PLEASE CORRECT ANYTHING THAT YOU THINK IS WRONG I WANT TO KNOW WHAT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS ABOUT MY INTERPRETATION!!!!!! |

| i think this is a really complex song with many different meanings kinda bunched up together. i think when you get down to it, it is about life and you can get hurt no matter what but that is just price you have to pay in order to get what you want out of life. pain is a part of life and we have to except it :) | |

| that is exactly what i though seeing that i have quit a similar past. my parents divorced when i was five and so i lived in books, drawings, and the story's i wrote. i had this idea about the kind of guy i wanted and then when i found a guy and he ended up stabbing me in the back and splitting up me and my friends i had a lot of work do do on my life. that is why i love paramore, because i swear some of the songs were written about my life. | |

| this song reminds me of myself because my parents got divorced when i was five and now i don't think that love exists i think that if someones heart can fall in love then they can just as easily fall out of love. sometimes i hope that some guy will come along and show me that i am wrong since my friends cant convince me, but in the back of my mind i always know that love does not exist so i basically live in fear that i might fall in love and get hurt. i absolutely love this song it is such a different sound for paramore and fits very well. i love paramore!!!!! | |

| this song reminds me of my grandpa, when he died i thought of this song mostly i thought of two line in the song "And if you ran away I'd still wave goodbye Watching you shine bright" and "and I'll wave goodbye watching you shine bright,and I'll wave goodbye tonight" in a way it gave me comfort. this is by far my favorite song by paramore because it has so much meaning to me and you can tell it has a lot of meaning to Hayley to. | |

i love this song not only because it is amazing, and that hayley is an amazing singer, but i can realy relate to it because my best est friend has kinda moved on and my other two best friends are kinda fading away but they are always gonna be the three most amazing people in the world no matter what. my fave parts are "Well, this is not your fault But if I'm without you then I will feel so small And if you have to go We'll always know that you shine brighter Than anyone does" and "And if you ran away I'd still wave goodbye Watching you shine bright" these i guess just make the song real to me :D |

just my opinion but here goes "when it rains, on this side of town it touches everything" i think of it like the saying "when it rains it pours" like the person in the song is constantly having bad thing happen to her/him and that person keeps trying to hide and run away from all of hers/his problems. i think the song is kinda a plea for that person to stop running. "how could you do this, i never saw it coming" could mean that this person in the song could have just given up and gave in, maybe even committed suicide. anyways one of the ways i saw it but i really think it has multiple meanings. |
