"Verdelet" is a term of the same punishment for a deed = arm for an arm, tooth for a tooth, just like the code of Hammurabi. The lyrics here clearly detail a man who is punished for an absurd reason by zealots, only to return and exact revenge. |

I interpret it as divine understanding and commitment to life, even unto death. The currents' ebbing and flowing are the ever-rolling "tides" of life. Leviathan may be interpreted as what is most precious to the adorer. I may be over-analyzing, however. It may just be a ritual to Leviathan. |
