Eddie is the "mascot" of Iron Maiden, the zombie/undead/mummy present on every album cover and/or related artwork of the band. So, in this case and for this song, 'Eddie' should be read as 'Iron Maiden' Samson (no 'p') was the band Bruce Dickinson was in before joining Iron Maiden (but that's pretty obvious here anyway) One the lines should say, by the way : "Searching for a beau who sings in falsetto" |
