She was a really big fan of his books. he was a boy that presented himself as a female. and the song is about him. but in 2006 it come out that it was ALL a hoax. J.T Leroy was a fake. "He" was actually a girl, dressed as a boy pretending to be a girl. weird hey? Sovannah Knoop is her name. and she now has a book called "Girl Boy Girl" read it! |

you people are crazy! you all all commenting on ABORTIONS! seriously, as if you could. it is totally up to the woman and it is NOONE else's business. having a baby is a very big thing, and it affects a whole lot of people, not just the mother. and it affects their whole lives! so if a 15 yr wants an abortion bc she doesnt know how she could possibly support a child at ehr age, and she wants a future. than i think its fair enough if she wants to abort it. i would much rather her live her life than something not even born. ALTHOUGH! dont get me wrong. personally. i will NEVER have an abortion. i just wouldnt be able to do it. but i am not going to judge another bc she does. it is totally a personal choice i dont understand how so many people can say its wrong and shouldnt be done. it is just none of their business! and the reason i came here is to say, i think p.o.d are very brave for singing this song. although i do not agree with them publically telling people its murder. it still takes a lot of courage. its ok to think what you think bout the matter, but you cant accuse it or use it against others who dont have the same beliefs as you. |

no offence to you personally bc what your saying sounds v. smart and you make good points. BUT. age DOES matter, and not just in music. but it espacially does matter for commercial things. do you really think a 65 year old who raps could sell as much as lady sov? and to think she is only 19 is amazing! it is known that a person will peak at the age of 22. there are many studies to prove this. even einstein, was never able to work at his best like her did at the age of 22. i have worked on this for a while now, especially in the commercial industry. so if she is only 19, can rap at the pace she does, about things she stands for (not only sex and parties) and pull in the cash in the meantime, imagine how big she'll be in a few years time?! i am not saying she is the best singer in the world, but one thing she can do that symphony x may not, is connect to the 20% of the young adults. and ALL commercial industries know that that 20% of teenagers and young adults ARE TREND SETTERS. and the remaining 80% are FOLLOWERS. thats why all marketing is only directed at the 20%. i know this may not seem important. or maybe it just looks like im dragging on a bit. but lady sov really does know what she is doing, and she is doing a very good job at it. and thats what it is, its her job. |

umm pink usually writes her own songs.! and she was on the streets. and poor before she was recognised. so she difinantly knows what she is one about when she talks about "hard work" and even if i have never built a box as my bed. or have had to rebuild my house. or whatever, its called empathy. and its clear pink shows empathy and cares about the millions of other people despite her wealth and fame. unlike bush. i agree with you gigglesxoxo. =) also, america is in a lot of debt bc of bush and his stupid desicions. thankgod bush is out. he wasnt only ruining his own country. but other countries as well. |

one of my all time favourite t&s songs. i think its about a girl falling for a girl and she wants to tell the whole world. she is obsessed with her, and compares her to god. although the other girl may not feel the same, or feel too scared to come out "she says she needs a priets, wants to get closer to god" bc being gay is a sin. and she feels as though what she feels is wrong. although the other is saying "you are my angel, you are my god. don't worry about what others think" "fashions isnt dead. no its just inside out" is hard. but it may refer to the fashion of coming out. and also how its not fashionable or 'popular' to be gay. which could be a reason while one of the girls is afraid to show her love. this is just my thoughts. tegan and sara are my favourite artists EVER. i would marry them if i could =) sorry. i posted it as a reply to the previous comment. haha. |
