just letting peeps know that it's not the go teams resident female rapper (ninja) doing her stuff on this joint but a group of ladies that went by the name of 'us girls' (Lisa Lee, Sha Rock and Debbie D) the go team took this rap from a 1984 bbc documentary called 'beat this...a hip hop history' where the girls threw down this little piece. hope this is informative. |

Right Im gonna sort this out once and for all, These parts are sampled from an oldschool hip hop set from the early 80s, the female rapper say's ....'can they do it with the Cold Crush and Theodore (which is in reference to the Cold Crush Brothers and DJ Grand Wizard Theodore' Then the female mc's go into 'Fantastic is the Romantic, Romantic is the Fantastic' This refers to 'The Fantastic Freaks' aka 'Fantastic Five Mc's' I have the original 'tape' which the samples come from....These bits are NOT the go teams female rapper 'ninja' Ninja does sing 'Came here to rock the microphone, while dave cuts it down to the bone' These lyrics are borrowed from an oldschool dj called Davy D, run dmc also used the lyrics 'while dave cuts it down to the bone' on their 1983 joint sucker mc.
