| Shakespear's Sister – Stay Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Well I've definitely always thought this song was about suicide. Not just that, however - but when Siobhan Fahey takes on the "Death" pers onification, as we all mostly agree on, she speaks about the Afterlife. I find her lyrics the most interesting of the song - she describes the afterlife (back in your own world) as a place less forgiving than life itself, reinforcing the general song's statement: Is this really a good idea? Such an emotive song. Marcella Detroit is such an awesome singer, I can't believe she was the "back up singer" of this group! Oh, and just as a trivia note.. the filmclip setting for this song, was based on a terrible 1950s sci-fi film about a planet of cat women. lol. P: |

I love this song. The music is funky and rhythmic, her voice is soulful, but more importantly - shes picked a subject that is often not interpreted, how it is here. Love; but shes not referring to someone in particular, someone she misses - no. Shes stating a very relevant situation that we're, really all in. We all have our faults and differences, we need someone who will accept them anyway. I think this is a very personal song though - she was in a car accident ages ago and is still in rehabilitation for it. She, most especially, is preaching what she needs. |

| Chester French – She Loves Everybody Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Oh, something else I forgot, to kind of validate my point.. "Somebody call my baby Somebody call her up real quick I think I need my fix" He says these first lines as if her number is one that a lot of the guys have. Anyone else pick up on that? >; |

Chantale, did you consider she might just so happen to be beating DW/the band members up merely because they were calling her a slut? P: Women who sleep around, don't really think they're doing something wrong at the time - or sometimes they do, but they'll still take defense. Anyhow, I agree with pretty much everyone here. It's about a chick hes dating/has a casual (sex?) friendship with, who has sex with a lot of men/their friend circle. She could also possibly be a nymphomaniac: "Now that we've made it this far Now that we've made a mess in the car You ought to give it a rest" She just wants more and more and more ! Lol. |

| Robyn – Handle Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I was in a position with a boy and this was similar (though not as dramatic, a description, lol) to our situation. He couldn't handle me. >; A great song, I love the strength of her music, without sounding too much like other artists, Pink, Gwen, etc. |

Come on people, ANYTHING can be interpreted as sex these days - because people have made everything into double-meaning, and innuendoes. How someone could relate their genitals to an unattractive vehicle, i don't know. But as stated. I think this song is pretty literal. One of those great ones to sing along to. |

| Björk – Unravel Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Loftarasa has probably given the finest explanation of 'love' in general, that i've ever read from the internet. And its always been my belief. Back to Bjork - well, I don't need to state how amazing this song is. I find all of her songs (a few exceptions, army of me and her more angrier, screamy ones of course) are graced with a consistently whimsical mood which is reinforced by her unique singing style - the pulling back on notes, the grunts and word-stumbling.. she is so beautiful. |

Oceania's comment is interesting because when I heard this song, I thought it was a little too dramatic to be serious, for Bjork. Nonetheless I'm happy she did something with it, its very moving and emotive and progressive! (: |

| Björk – Hunter Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I didn't take to this song originally - when I viewed it, it was on youtube, and the videoclip threw me. As my opinion of Bjork's music in general grew, I came to like this one though. I won't say I've always interpreted this song in a particular way - but when I made an EFFORT to interpret it.. it seemed pretty literal. Bjork refers to herself as the hunter, as opposed to the 'prey'. She is taking action, rather than sitting back "and home has been found/ i'm not stopping". The music with it is perfect, too.. suspenseful, leading you on.. very nice song. (: |
