Three Days Grace – Never Too Late Lyrics 16 years ago
The bit that starts "The world we knew won't come back" is the best part of the song. It's ashame that in my case I spent three years trying to deny that.

Three Days Grace – Get Out Alive Lyrics 16 years ago
Is anyone else reminded of the Holocaust? I see this song as two people, a boy and girl, possibly brother and sister, who are warning other Jews they know to run away before the Nazis find them. They themselves are on the run and they're warning the others. "Don't put your life in someone else's hands" could refer to the many people during the Holocaust who protected Jewish fugitives, and really did hold the fugitive's life in their hands, and "burning on the inside" could refer to the torture the Jews received in concentration camps.

AFI – Silver And Cold Lyrics 16 years ago
Is anyone else reminded of Sweeney Todd, as in the character from the Broadway musical and Tim Burton film? It's not what the song is about, but I always think of this song as being perfect for when he gets his razors back. If you watch and listen to "My Friends" and then listen to "Silver and Cold" I can definitely pick out similarities.

I'm not saying it's ABOUT Sweeney Todd, but it REMINDS me of his character, particularly in the film version.

Emilie Autumn – Rose Red Lyrics 16 years ago
I disagree with it being about Rose Red from the fairytale. I think it's about Elizabeth I. All the references to marriage, and especially "Will I ever see thee wed/Only if you can capture me" and "I'm doing fine" - she ruled fine without a husband. If you look in the Enchant lyrics book there is a drawing of a Tudor rose by this song and a note from EA which goes something like: "I always found it personally offending that a Tudor rose looks nothing like a real rose".

Emilie Autumn – Liar Lyrics 16 years ago
I think it's about being in love with someone to the point of obsession, where you want them by your side all the time and go a little insane from it. Then they find out their lover lied to them (Liar Liar Liar Liar) and wants to hurt them because they can't believe they were lied to. Alternately, the obsessed person could just be a sadistic maniac.

Emilie Autumn – Heard It All Lyrics 16 years ago
I think this song is about having something bad happen to you, possibly rape - "too many hands touching where I stand" - and trying to tell someone about it but they don't believe you and think you're making it up - "I heard a boy say it's all my invention" etc.

Emilie Autumn – Gothic Lolita Lyrics 16 years ago
Most of you have already interpreted this song as I see it, but I wanted to say I think Gothic Lolita is referring to Emilie herself as the gothic version of Lolita - she was in the same situation as Lolita, and she's gothic. Yeah.
