| Jeffree Star – prisoner Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I love this song. It shows Jeffree can write lyrics that aren't just about sex and vain things. It's about loving someone who doesn't feel the same way. The person is dedicated to making them feel the same way and doesn't care about suffering the consequences. | |
| (+44) – No It Isn't Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This song probably is speaking about the breakup due to Tom "Please understand this isn't just goodbye, this is "I can't stand you"" --> Tom didn't say he was quitting the band to Mark and Travis' face. He had the manager do it. Mark feels like this shows Tom wasn't just quitting or saying goodbye, he was saying he hated them by the cold, emotionless way he left. "This is where the road crashed into the ocean. It rises all around me and now we're barely breathing. A thousand faces will choose to ignore" --> Their tour suddenly stopped and the future they had as a band crashed. The news of Tom leaving shocked Mark and Tom. The thousand faces they are ignoring are the fans that they will be disappointing. "Curse my enemies forever. Let's slit our wrists and burn down something beautiful" --> Mark is saying that Tom is destroying something beautiful, Blink-182. "This desperation leaves me overjoyed with fading lights that lead us past the lives that we destroyed" --> Another line saying that Tom is destroying themselves and the band. The rest of the song keeps on talking about the breakup but I don't feel like writing all of it down. I think the point is made though. |

| Death Cab for Cutie – Tiny Vessels Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I can really relate to this song. Even though its written from the user's point of view, I think it's more about being used by someone for sex and feeling horrible about being hurt like that. There's this guy I really like but I know he wants me just to have sex once, maybe twice. I have a feeling he's going to disappear afterwards. The worse part is that I know at this point we're pretending like I don't know this. I'm afraid I am going to go through it anyway because a part of me still likes him. It's killing me and listening to this song I can totally relate. "This is the moment that you know That you told her that you loved her, but you don't. You touch her skin and then you think that she is beautiful, but she don't mean a thing to me" --> He's looking at the girl and is attracted to her physically but knows that there is nothing emotional attaching him to her, though the girl probably loves him. "As tiny vessels oozed into your neck and formed the bruises that you said you didn't want to fade but they did and so did I that day" --> He's marking her with hickies. She doesn't want them to fade because she wants everyone to know she "belongs" to him. It's ironic because he's probably going to leave soon. "So when you'd ask, "Is something wrong?" I'd think, "You're damn right there is but we can't talk about it now" --> She's sensing that there is a problem but the guy won't talk about it. He hasn't gotten what he wanted yet(sex) so he doesn't want to break it to her that he doesn't want to be together. "So one last touch and then you'll go and we'll pretend that it meant something so much more. But it was vile, and it was cheap" --> The guy has finally gotten to have sex with her. It's quite clear that they're pretending that what they had just done was an act of love. He is admiting to himself that it was vile and cheap because that's all it ever really was. |

| Sonny Moore – Mora Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
At first it does sound like its referencing fellatio, but I think it's actually about cleansing yourself emotionally. 'take a step off of that silver bird from your planet and you brought a little bit of that cold with you' --> Sonny is encouraging the girl to open up to him but she's still in a previous bad state of mind, maybe being depressed or 'cold' because of a relationship with someone else 'ring me out like you would your bastarding father and youre so quick to stick to that scum hungry like a pirhana' --> the girl won't trust Sonny or accept his help. She is staying in a relationship with someone who can only be described as 'scum' maybe because she feels desperate 'swallow a little of that sea. Now taste a little bit of that salt in me. Throw up a little of it on your knees, now doesn't that bring you back to the beginning before you poured your elements away. Now sing back to the bottom of it all' --> The sea is something emense, cleansing and represents endless posibilities for her. Sonny wants her to taste freedom and hope again and wants her to see that he has those qualities in him. Throwing up the water is like spitting up the bad parts of herself and her past with it. It brings her 'back to the beginning', where she can start off fresh again. |

| From First to Last – Everything's Perfect Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"Don't you think we really made a difference? The world's a better place now, don't you think?" --> I think Matt is reflecting what people think of the band, how people believe they've changed lives and "made the world a better place". Maybe Matt sometimes believes the person/other people are just saying this to flatter the band. |

| From First to Last – Everything's Perfect Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I think the song is about people that just tell Matt what they think he wants to hear but Matt wants the truth, even if he won't like it. "Everything's Perfect" --> the title and the song and maybe it's supposed to be ironic/sarcastic? Everyone views Matt/what he does as perfect even when it isn't. "What I want is someeone smart enough to tell me I'm wrong" --> Matt wants someone who won't just agree with him because he's famous. "You're no good to me now unless you are pissed." --> When people are angry they often say what they really feel, especially mean things. Matt thinks the person is only truthful to him when they are pissed off because it's when the person will say what they truly feel. |
