This song isn't about harming yourself or being emo or crying. It explains it "this life is filled with hurt , when happiness doesn't work" to me this shows that he had something good , probably a very happy relationship, and it ended leaving him w/o love and with pain. yet he realizes he would rather feel the pain that feel empty. i might just be putting myself into this because my boyfriend ( for 2 years) and i broke up a while back , mostly because his friends don't like me. At first i just tried to forget him and forget everything yet i realized that was way worse than accepting how i really feel , becuase when you free your heart of one emotion you usually get rid of the other also. it kills me to see my ex everyday yet feeling that pain shows me that there truly is love there , which in the end makes me feel better than when i was sedated |
