I believe it has religious connotations, or at least undertones. We see a very clear timeline presented, with morning, noon, and night. This has often been used by poets and songwriters as a metaphor for the life cycle of a human; Youth in the morning, mid-age in the afternoon, and elderly at night. All monotheistic religions are described as having one creator (God, Allah, El, etc..) Which would thus make us our fathers sons. The house represents the strong foundation of God, and the mouth is his Word. |
