This song is like a slap in a face, it's a incredibly sad song but it has a point, we may feel like we're in control but we really aren't we can go at anytime even when the paramedics say "you'll be alright". The priest is introduced to show how awful it is when someone dies who has not made peice with God. |

I think the whole song kind of ties into the ending. He is speaking to this girl about how being with her feels like floating. And being with her is all that matters, Since he doesn't know if there is an afterlife he is kind of saying "carpe diem" lets seize the day. |
