Nirvana – You Know You're Right Lyrics 16 years ago
The second, 'I have never failed to fall' is incorrect. It's 'I have never failed to fail.' Even more proof of how much he hated his life. And second, lets talk about someone else is about his daughter. He wanted her to be part of his ending too. That's why the sarcasm is reserved for Love and they serious parts are for him and Francis.

Dave Matthews Band – Some Devil Lyrics 16 years ago
I'm not the biggest fan of Dave Matthews. I don't know a lot of what they do. But this is in my top ten for sure. I remember when I first heard this song. I was sitting in my girlfriends car about 4 years ago and we were trying to find reasons to stay together. We were slipping apart and we both knew it. And then this song came on. She loved Dave Matthews and I had wanted to turn it off so we could have a conversation without background music. I'm glad I didn't. When I heard this it's like I realized, if you love someone, no matter how hard the battle is to stay together, you fight it. Because if you lose her you'll forever be in pain.

And one more thing. I think the some devil, some angel has to do with, his love may have died and broken him, but it also showed him the light. He had a revelation that was brutal, but has shaped him in a great way. Like having an alcoholic mother. You truly hate her for her choices, but it's a blessing to be able to see the wrongs and learn from them.

Cute Is What We Aim For – Hipbones and Microphones Lyrics 16 years ago
The fact of the matter is, and I agree with the aforementioned post, people are fake. That's what this song is all about. CIWWAF went away from what they usually do in their music to highlight the fact. That's why this song isn't along the same lines as what the others are on this album. (Which in fact, by being so genius, makes it similar to the other genius songs on this album.)

Cute Is What We Aim For – Lyrical Lies Lyrics 16 years ago
What's really funny is that everyone on here seems to think that this singer is in love with a girl. It's only funny because I've never looked at it like this. I agree that most of what has been said makes sense. The lyrics portray that in the last verse:

youre moving but not aware
yourre drowsy without a care
except keeping your whites behind your lids
and your lids are your best canvas
I can only imagine what your painting
And your body on my mattress is proof
And your makeup on your pillow is proof
But do you think I am telling you the truth

But I don't think so. The rest of the album and the rest of the song are all about woman who think they are one thing or want to be one thing, but they aren't what they think or can't be what they want. I think this song is about how he wishes there was a woman who he could love. I think this song is about the old man's advice and him taking it. And woman after woman, he's still disappointed by the old man's correct assessments. The singer is saying the proof is that mentally you're one thing baby, but in the real world, am I telling you the truth? I wish I could, but you can't handle it.

Silversun Pickups – Lazy Eye Lyrics 16 years ago
This is way late, but I just found this site, so this is my two-cents. I remember the day I heard this song. I remember the exact outfit I was wearing. I remember calling my best friend saying, 'I just heard the best song I've ever heard.' It might be because I was drinking about 4 monsters a day at that time in my life, but I think it's because it is one of the best songs I've ever heard in my life. Who doesn't relate to seeing someone they've never seen before and thinking, 'I want her/him.' I think that their entire cd, not just this song, might be my favorite album to date.

Kings of Leon – Use Somebody Lyrics 16 years ago
This is one of those songs that when you hear it, even in the first 30 seconds, you know you're going to love it. It's such a great song, you even remember the first time you heard it. That's how great this song is.

Jack's Mannequin – Caves Lyrics 16 years ago
I see that this subject is nearly dead, but I still feel like I'd like to add a bit. I see that there isn't really any comments about the religious aspect (or at least spiritual) of the song. The last verse isn't married, but burried. The entire thing is saying what if we die and nothing happens. What if nothing is what we become? That is the question that stares us all in the face as we approach death, and to have faced it at such a young age, as Andrew did, and come away with this outlook, is wonderful. Truly inspiring song.

K2007 says it best. It's so powerful, you're not sure what to do with it.
