| Misery Signals – Labyrinthian Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I'd have to disagree with the religious comment. There isn't much in this song that lends itself to being that of a religious one. The notion that he's coming out of a relationship is more plausible with the lines "It's going to be a long hard road, which I will walk alone" He's walking alone as he's lost his partner. And the lines "Give me the strength to move this mountain" is not necessarily a plea to some deity. He's become disillusioned and bitter and so he's trying to inspire some recovery from this. "To wash my hands of you".. Once again addressing his partner. He could simply be talking to himself, further emphasising the fact that he's alone. |

| Mastodon – Ghost of Karelia Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Uhm. No. Karelia is an area in Northern Europe occupied and owned by Finland and Russia. Most likely chosen or referenced as it alludes to the Russian scenery prevalent in Crack The Skye itself. Though, the lyrics detract greatly from anything remotely relative to Karelia. |
