Maybe not a suicide attempt, I think the analogy is between being heartbroken and being so severely physically wounded that you need to be hospitalised. "Left a hole when you walked out" says quite literally that he's hurting because she left him. And the lines "Marks of battle / Still feel raw" illustrates the similar impacts of physical fights and emotional fights. One of my favourites on the album for sure. :) |

Yeah, I really know what you're saying, Konstantine. To me, this song is about a relationship between him and a girl. What separates them is that he's a man that needs evidence and tangible proof to know that something is "real". In contrast, all she needs is faith. Like God, she believes in things (like their love) despite there being any perceivable or perceptible explanation for it. I really love this song. |

shamefully, i admit that this is a catchy song. but ludacris' part where he says "oh i was starstruck she woke up daily, don't need no starbucks" seems too similar to flo-rida's part in starstruck with lady gaga... hmmmm! |
