Its obviously about an affair but i love how the use of analogy shows how he feels about it. "And I was like a patient on a table. Headed toward the light" "Like a man prepared to jump beneath a train" And pardon my insight but i doubt "It's real warm outside tonight. Maybe tomorrow it rains" is talking about the weather. seems more like he's thinks its good now, but it can go wrong. and although its clear he feels bad about it he knows its worth it because of the connection they have. I like this song and I love the mountain goats |
